Report of　The Third Global Forum on Human Resources for Health (Dr. Watanabe, Dr. Lee, Dr. Makino)

Venues: The Atlante Plaza hotel and Pernambuco Convention Center, Recife, Brazil

Content: Prof. Watanabe had a presentation in terms of the role of interprofessional education in the effective delivery of integrated care in the Track Session of Integrated service delivery models: implications on human resources for health. Prof. Watanabe had a presentation entitled “Students of Interprofessional Education Committee” in the Side Event of The global challenge of health workforce education, training, and migration: The role of a new generation of Health Workers.

IPE Training Course at Gunma University was held.

SIPEC sent OTSA 2013 a video message to introduce our activity and Gunma University IPE training

From May 25^th to 26^th, OTSA 2013, Philippines OT student meeting, was held by an OT student assembly in Philippine. SIPEC sent a video message, introducing SIPEC activity and Gunma University IPE training and our experience based on this training, to this meeting.

Our activity and training was well-received by the participants including OT students from not only Philippine but Indonesia. Mr. Michael P. Sy, OTSA adviser, expressed his gratitude to SIPEC, Gunma University.

In addition to that, Mr. Michael P. Sy and Dr. Tokita, the adviser of SIPEC, discussed about the collaboration on June 12^nd, 2013. They decided that OSTA and SIPEC would cooperate with each other and communicate over ITC technology such as Facebook and Skype.

A Lecture for the IPE Workshop at Korea University Medical Center

I gave a lecture introducing the experience of running an IPE program at Gunma University, at the IPE Workshop which was held at Korea University on Nov. 27, 2012.

Physicians and nurses who are the international fellowship trainees from Philippine, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia were attentive listeners.

The discussion time following the lectures was a precious opportunity for me to know about the health care system of the each country.
